THE CURRENT PROBLEM
The Maasai community in Tanzania faces significant challenges due to ongoing displacement by the government. They are frequently forced to leave their ancestral lands, leading to instability and insecurity. This constant upheaval disrupts their way of life, making it difficult for them to maintain their cultural practices and provide a stable environment for their families.
OUR SOLUTION
Our foundation has committed to funding and building a permanent house for a Maasai family.
This project aims to provide the family with astable and secure home, ensuring they have a safe place to live and thrive despite the challenges posed by displacement. Additionally, the project will serve as a model and source of inspiration for the wider Maasai tribe, demonstrating the benefits of permanent housing and encouraging similar initiatives within the community.

COMMUNITY OBSERVATIONS: Assessing changes in the family's security and well-being through community leader observations and reports.
LONG-TERM MONITORING: Monitoring the long-term stability and condition of the house to ensure it continues to meet the family's needs.
SUSTAINABILITY PLAN
The sustainability of the project will been sured through regular maintenance of the house and ongoing support for the family. Additionally, the Maasai community will be encouraged to integrate the house into their broader community support structures to maximise its utility and impact.

The Maasai Community Housing Project represents a significant investment in the security and stability of the Maasai community. By providing a permanent home for a family, our foundation aims to offer protection from displacement, improve their quality of life, support the preservation of their cultural heritage, and inspire similar initiatives within the wider Maasai tribe.
